Definition
- A stone artifact circular in shape and concave on both sides usually of quartz, granite, flint, hematite, slate, or basalt. They range from 0.25 to 23 cm in diameter and from 0.5 to 9 kg in weight. Some have a hole through the center and others have flanges around the edges.They seemed to have a ceremonial or ritual purpose or were used for mixing herbs or medicines.
