Scope note
- In a broad sense, the study of the social behaviour in animals and humans within the context of evolutionary biology. In a narrower sense, the study of human behaviour and social phenomena, such as incest, altruism, aggression, mate selection etc., based on processes argued by the new-Darwinian synthesis, which combines natural and sexual selection with genetics.
