Scope note
- Roman silver coins that were first introduced during Diocletian's coinage reform in 294 CE and continued to be struck until ca. 310 CE. They were of similar weight and fineness as the denarius of the time of Nero, as they were produced at a theoretical weight of 1/96th of a Roman libra.
