Scope note
- A body of laws, theories, concepts, applications, instrumentation, values, beliefs, methodological and metaphysical commitments, adopted by a group of scientists (scientific community) within the context of current scientific practice ("normal science"). In a second elaboration of the concept, made by its proponent, Thomas S. Kuhn, "paradigm" may be captured as "exemplar", referring to the problem solutions, accepted by the scientific community and used as models in the course of scientific training.
