- 自然群落中组成成分间的平衡状况，从而使得它们之间的相对数量基本上仍保持恒定，且生态系统是稳定的。 一个平衡的群落会逐步地、连续地重新调整其组成成分来响应自然生态的演替、季节更换和其他的影响。
